Due to unforeseen circumstances, the government of Alberta has mandated the shutdown of recreational sports for the next two weeks. Curling will not take place until November 28, 2020 unless otherwise notified. We can't wait to see you back on the ice!
Since 2005, the Calgary Wheelchair Curling
Association has grown to be one of the largest wheelchair curling leagues in
Canada with over 30 members.
Wheelchair curling is becoming one of the fastest growing
wheelchair sports worldwide due to its appeal to a variety of people with
disabilities. People who use mobility devices are able to play wheelchair
curling. And many wheelchair curlers play in regular able-bodied leagues and
games with their friends and families.
Whether you are 16 or over 60, wheelchair curling is truly an
inclusive and adaptive sport for persons with disabilities. For more
information on how you can be involved as a player or as a volunteer, please
provide us with contact information now.
Come and join us on Saturday afternoons from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM at the Garrison Curling Club, 2288 – 47 Avenue SW, Calgary.

The COVID-19 pandemic has required the wheelchair curling community to implement a number of changes to return to play for the 2020-2021 season. Together with Curling Canada, Curling Alberta and the Garrison Curling Club, the Calgary Wheelchair Curling Association has implemented changes to safeguard the health and safety of all participants and to limit the further outbreak of COVID-19. We will be implementing screening protocols, mask requirements (exemptions excluded) off-ice, distancing and equipment sanitization.
While the CWCA is committed to doing all we can to keep you safe, this is a team effort. We expect all players and guests to adhere to the new policies, and to hold each other accountable. It is essential that our community work together to safely 'sport' again.
